One morning i was walking my dog it was very windy. I heard a tree that had fallen several years ago, make a squeeky sound towards another tree. I used the sound on old footage on a wooden-boat.

Created for the play 'exit the king' (wilbury group, 2011). A expressionistic storm, with walls crumbling down in slow motion. I made this by tearing wood and plastic apart and slowing down the sounds and adding percussion. The rain i recorded out my window.

Night storm in evosmo-thessaloniki (part 1) with more than 30 lightning strikes and thunders in a period of 20 minutes. The recording was made by me with the zoom handy recorder h2 (open window of my apartment). A rumble of thunder from a storm over 50 miles away over the irish sea from an mcs during july 2016. The atmospheric conditions of that night, along with the lack of other noise allowed sounds to be heard much further than they normally would. The main reason was likely due to a strong temperature inversion close to the ground. Recorded with zoom h4n onboard mics.

The sea was fairly choppy/rough and this is a recording of the waves crashing against a break water/wall with some occasional spraying sounds. Theres a great stereo effect of the waves hitting from left to right. Could be a good sound for any on boat/stormy sea needs.

Recorded a rain storm with mxl-990 condenser mic, mono. It's inside the window by the ac window unit, so you can hear loud rain on the ac unit.

I recorded this using my small sony cybershot camera. You'll notice that the wind goes from loud to soft to loud again, repeating. This because i am opening the window wide and then after a few seconds i close the window but not completely so that i get some low whistling sounds from the wind. I recorded for 18 minutes and i used audacity to edit it. Hope this sound is useful for you!.

Thunderstorm aftermath. Sounds of a thunderstorm about 10 minutes after it left the area. So low rumbles and rain dripping. The sound was recorded using a yamaha audiogram6 connected to a radioshack brand vocal microphone. Sampling was done at 44,100hz and the data was recorded using audacity. I recorded everything as a wav file and then uploaded it the same.

A huge ice storm moves in to the back woods of north carolina on 01/30/2014. First it snowed. . . And then it sleeted. When all that sleet froze on the surface of the snow, walking in this winter-wonderland produced an amazing sound. So, i put on my boots, grabbed my zoomh4n and set out to record the magic!. This would be very useful as foley fx for walking in any frozen environment. I walked on various surfaces and depths of ice and snow throughout. Sounds of annoyed crows and grackles can be heard periodically in the distance, and the ambient sound of water through the gutters and downspouts is also prevalent.
